In May and June 2022, the Give Right Foundation hosted a Faculty-Led Study Abroad Program for sixteen students and two faculty members from the University of Georgia.
Participants visited the University of Lomé and collaborated with numerous governmental and community organizations, including the National Council of the YMCAs of Togo, the Brigade for Minors, the Directorate of Child Protection, the Golfe 2 Municipality, and several civil society organizations working in child welfare and protection.
The program provided students with opportunities to conduct research, engage with local experts, and deepen their understanding of social and developmental challenges. To promote academic collaboration and cultural exchange, three psychology students from the University of Lomé joined the program and participated alongside the University of Georgia students.
