Give Right Foundation is excited to announce its first medical mission trip, which will run from December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025.

In addition to visiting some of Ghana’s most beautiful places, volunteers will have the opportunity to expand their horizons by living, eating, and working with community members.. Give Right Foundation has partnered with Friends of Adaklu, a community-based non-profit that operates a health clinic in the Adaklu District of Ghana’s Volta Region.

Volunteers will support the health clinic through “community projects such family planning, nutrition and WASH education in schools and working with community men and women

There will also be Art and Craft projects with students at Nunya Village – the place for artisans, the first of its kind in the Volta Region of Ghana

Jean-Paul Sewavi, a Co-Founder and President of the Give Right Foundation, will coordinate pre-departure orientations and Friends of Adaklu Team will co-lead activities on site. Jean-Paul has more than 20 years of experience in education abroad and international volunteering program management. A Togo native, Jean-Paul has extensive experience living and working in Ghana.

The main goal of the volunteer trip is to engage with the community in collaboration with Ghanaian stakeholders for continuous medical missions to the Adaklu District. Sewavi is optimistic about the future of this partnership. “This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of a strong and sustainable volunteer project based on the needs of the communities”

Friends of Adaklu’s Country Director, Stella Kudah is excited about this medical mission trip as Friends of Adaklu increases its yearly Volunteers travelling to Ghana to collaborate with communities in a responsible and not self-serving way.

While the focus of the trip will be the volunteer component and community engagement, this 10-day program will not be without its share of tourism and fun. The trip also includes a full day exploring the highlights of Ghana’s Volta Region, including the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, and Wli Falls.
